Pre-Grammy Weekend Economic Development Summit Will Discuss Building 21st Century Cities for All

(Los Angeles, California & Washington, D.C.) – The African American Mayors Association (AAMA) and Focus Your Ideas (FYI), the ultimate productivity and collaboration platform for creatives founded by will.i.am, will host today a team of AAMA member-mayors from across the country during star-studded pre-Grammy weekend. Together, FYI and AAMA can amplify Black voices, transform how we work and create in our cities, and lead us into a collaborative future. Issue areas addressed at the summit include voting, STEAM education, affordable housing and homelessness, health equity, climate change, the creative economy, and philanthropy.

The Summit features four panels and will be attended by 200 highly curated guests including members of AAMA and Black celebrities in music, entertainment, technology, and venture capital. AAMA member-mayors participating include Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, Jackson Mayor Chokwe Lumumba, New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell, Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed, Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles, and AAMA President and Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott, Jr.
